In the summer of 2018, my fiction writing muse could no longer stand in the shadows and exploded. I became a devoted weekend writer. By the summer of 2019, after continuous story creation and a query writing class, I honed my time on editing and sharpening my current manuscript, Breath of the Meige. I am actively looking for an agent while I work on polishing another manuscript.
Pre-manuscript
Travel Log of a Raven
Trying to gather a fan base (before the newer self-publishing companies popped up), I was publishing weekly stories about Ari in my Travel Log of a Raven series. Ari is the same character as that in Breath of the Meige, but the prose has been completely rewritten from the Travel Log, which is first person, blog-style writing. Her story stops at a cliff hanger, because this “blog” was always supposed to gather attention for a greater manuscript.
To expand my fanbase, I created photo illustrations for each chapter, then expanded into YouTube, recording “still landscapes” while I read the story out loud. I was eventually going to record better readings of these and add hiking footage, but I moved into a smaller home and lost my desk and working space for a while.

Kingdoms And Curses
In 2014, I self-published a series of stories into a book called Kingdoms and Curses. Literally a month later, I had a kid and had no time to promote it. But that was fine. I wrote those stories for fun in a “Tell a story” style.
“The Chosen One”, a short story that expanded into 70 pages, is literally how “Peace” is established in Ari’s world. Ari’s story began as a fun “What if” idea.

- B.A. in Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing from the UC Santa Cruz
- In high school, I organized and published my school's poetry magazine called Express Yourself
- Currently homeschooling my two kids.
