Weekendly Goals

Weekendly Goals
March 28, 2020 by Michelle McCollyer

Every weekend, I make these weekendly writing goals, but in order to be more engaging online, I’m going to post them.

Last week, I needed to take a break from the manuscript I’m eventually going to pitch (once the threat of the coronovirus alleviates). I spent last week developing this website and updating many of my online profiles. Then I started untangling the sequel to the manuscript I’m pitching, which will take a while because the plot evolved quite a bit in this last year.

With a nice reprieve away from my manuscript, I’m ready to dive back in. Here are my goals:

  1. Reread first chapter (yet again) and take into account the feedback from my last readers. Jonty and Jim both gave me some wonderful feedback, and I would like to add that that to the first chapter.
  2. Look over my pitch again, and readjust. Once again, I came up with another pitch attempt and received some excellent feedback on it.
  3. Creating more of an online presence. The timing of that failed this week, but hopefully, I will add something of value this weekend to my online presence. I did finish the book Mahimata, as well as get a decent amount of (paying) work in.

So, without further adieu, I write. (Actually, I edit.)
